Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

1. What we collect

Account details (name, email, phone number), profile information you choose to add (photo, bio, travel preferences, how you heard about us), journey details you post, applications, messages, and reviews you write, identity-verification results from our verification partner (we receive the outcome; our partner's dashboard lets us view, but we do not get sent or store, your documents or uploads), passkey public keys if you register one, and payment records from our payment processor (we never see full card numbers).

2. How we use it

To operate the marketplace: showing journeys to companions, delivering applications to seekers, enabling messaging between matched members, sharing contact details after a match, processing subscriptions and payouts, sending transactional emails and in-app notifications about your account and journeys, improving profile text where you use the AI writing assistant, and keeping the community safe.

3. When contact details are shared

Your phone number and email address are shared only with the member you are matched with, and only after a match is confirmed. Your public profile shows your first name, photo, bio, and verification status.

4. Third parties we rely on

Supabase (hosting and authentication), Stripe (subscription payments and Companion payouts via Stripe Connect), Didit (identity verification), Twilio SendGrid (transactional email), Twilio Verify (SMS phone-verification codes), Sentry (error monitoring), Groq (AI writing assistance — only the text you submit to the assistant is processed), and, where you explicitly opt in, Trustpilot (platform reviews). Each processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting hello@juurnee.com; some records (e.g. payment records) may be retained where the law requires.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we have mishandled it. Contact hello@juurnee.com for any privacy request.
